Wickes Kitchens Guildford. Avoid.
Went to Wickes in Guildford for a quote for 2 kitchens in our house, after buying previously here and it all going well. Didn't even get that far. Without knowing anything about us, asking us any questions at all or knowing what we wanted, the kitchen designer immediately said that their kitchens cost 10k plus and he didn't want to waste his time doing a design for us, unless we were spending more than that. He had such an attitude my girlfriend was upset, so we left and went to one of their many competitors nearby, who were happy to help us. I will never use Wickes again.

Excellent, friendly service
Ordered a fairly large (for me) Click & Collect order online from the Wickes store in Aintree. I had a call back almost instantly from the store to check I needed it straight away, so they could deploy staff elsewhere if I didn't. But I did and it was ready to collect within the hour. Everything was ready for me when I arrived and one of the staff helped me load the several boards and protective sheets onto my roof rack. Excellent, friendly service

Don't order radiators from here, absolute joke!
The store staff and customer services are extremely helpful but very poor quality couriers being used by Wickes, I ordered a radiator on Monday, a damaged one then arrived Tuesday, I was promised a replacement to be delivered Wednesday. Given a delivery slot of 0700 -1700 so I had to stay in all day. No sign of it by early afternoon then the courier arrived but only to collect the damaged one. Called Wickes again, there had reportedly been some miscommunication between Customer Services and the store. Delivery was arranged for Wednesday evening after I refused to stay at home again Thursday, then guess what another damaged one arrives with a large scratch across the front! Radiator was loose on the floor of the back of a delivery van when I went to see if the driver needed assistance. Put on call waiting and finally got through. Deliveries need sorting, Wickes must be losing so much stock through damage.

User friendly Wickes
My first time for using Wickes. Ordered some paint from a good pallete of colours from a website that was so easy to navigate. Plus, the paint was delivered safely and well packaged, by a very nice, and professional, delivery driver, in the time frame given. Tracking updates were regular and accurate. I would definitely use Wickes again, and recommend them. Thanks Wickes!

A shockingly poor experience
Cancelled a tile order after 2 weeks of not hearing anything about it. Told I would be issued a full refund within 14 days. Still no refund after 20 days. Spoke to customer service twice who can only "escalate it to the refunds team" and promise to get back to me. Nothing. Seems to be an issue with Wickes's tile supplier, but I don't have a 'contract' with them, it's with Wickes.
BEWARE of ordering a bathroom from Wickes
I am writing this review to advise people to be very wary of ordering a bathroom and installation from wickes due to the current very poor experience we are having. We ordered a bathroom from Wickes from the Coventry store in October 2021 and was told the bathroom would be fitted in May 2022. The bathroom fitter was changed at a late stage and the new bathroom fitter was late starting the job. On the first day he did not turn up at all. After the bathroom was fitted it initially seemed OK, however after we started using it we noticed various faults. The sealant around the bath had been applied poorly, there was grouting missing on a number of tiles, the extractor fan switch had been left hanging off the wall, the bath panel had been fitted with the film still on it. Worst of all was that the bath taps had not been fitted properly which caused a significant leak which has made the floor tiles in the bathroom uneven and discoloured and cause the plaster in the hallway to come off (it's a downstairs bathrrom). The bathroom fitter was not available to fix the leak and we had to arrange for another plumber to fix it. As I write this review there is still a smaller leak coming from one of the pipes under the bath which wickes appear to have no current plans to repair so I have had to put a towel under it and hope it doesn't flood the bathroom. I have complained to wickes numerous times and their regional manager's answer is that it is the bathrooms fitters responsibility to fix the problems. Understandably we do not want a person doing work in our house who has caused significant damage to our home and I am sure the regional manager would feel the same about his or her home. Please beware about ordering a bathroom and installation through wickes as all we have been caused is stress, inconvenience and expense and unless this matter is resolved soon, we may be forced to take legal action against wickes.

Great design experience, let down after
I had an excellent experience designing my kitchen with Sam Godwin, my design consultant at Wickes Fareham. He was brilliant and I'm really happy with the design and advice he recommended/ gave me.
Unfortunately I did have some issues with the first kitchen fitter I was allocated, the delivery of the kitchen, and also the worktops once they were fitted - Sam was great at getting these issues sorted so my advice would be to design your kitchen with Sam but then find your own installer to fit the kitchen for you!

From start to finish
From start to finish, Sarah -Jayne was absolutely outstanding. Her professionalism and attention to detail was what we needed to ensure we chose the right Kitchen. Nothing was too much trouble, I was in and out of the store and each time she greeted me with a smile, welcome and sorted any problem out. I cannot recommend Sarah -Jayne wicks had enough

Damaged goods EVERY time
Ordered 8 internal doors and every single one was damaged, one of them was the wrong size. Unfortunately the carpenter I had lined up was only available the week we booked him, and only realised the doors were damaged (I mean they were wrecked) when he opened them. Had to repair them by sanding down and filling in the chips. Then ordered another door again from the Bristol Ashton branch and so far we are on the 3rd attempt. Every one is completely wrecked, I’ve no idea what they do with them to make them so damaged. After the first time I phoned to explain and pleaded with them to check the door before despatching but no it turned up in the worst state. Why not check quality before dispatching because you’ve now had to deliver a door 3 times at your own cost. I genuinely will never order from Wickes again. Warning to anyone ordering something where you don’t have 2 weeks and lots of phone calls to return items - shop elsewhere. 0 stars if I could you’ve failed on every level

I have recently used Wickes a number of times.
I have recently used Wickes for a number of DIY purchases and found their pricing to be the best for the items I needed. They delivered the final item quickly and right to my front door.

Having recently moved house and needing a new kitchen, we visited a few showrooms until we found a range we liked. We spoke with Dan Tutten from the Plymouth store who was great. We weren’t sure how to make the best use of our space but Dan visited our house and listened to our ideas. He went away and came up with the perfect solution for us first time. He was helpful, pleasant to deal with and very knowledgeable. We ordered our kitchen there and then and are excited for it to be fitted in a few weeks time. I’d definitely recommend Dan and the Plymouth store 100%. Thank you!
